In June of 2019 protests broke out in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi following an address by Russian Duma Deputy Sergei Gavrilov, who travelled to Georgia with the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy.

My final project will consist of an analysis of Russian media and their coverage of the Tbilisi protests.  Rhetorical differences, political alignment, and other aspects will be taken into consideration when completing this analysis.

This article will look at how different media organizations in Russia view their relationship with Georgia and will provide a deeper understanding of Russian politics, media, and self-image.
